In a simple yet meaningful activity, MCCID College of Technology inaugurates its sports facility in a simple dedication program last February 9, 2013 coinciding with opening ceremony of Sports Fest 2013 and part of the institution’s 20th anniversary celebration.
The program starts with the Parade of Colors marching from outside the main gate entering the main street going to the Sports Area. Then, program hosts Omar Jolas Lazaro and Leslie Castillo opened the activity. MCCID Sportsfest Adviser and PE Instructor Jerome Marzan gave his welcome remarks.
Sports Fest Teams were presented and Cheerdance Contest followed. Teams from Blue, Green, Gray and Red battled it out in cheering without the use of any sound system.
Pastor Gerry Ballesteros of Bridge Christian Community Church of Marikina City gave his inspirational message and led the dedication of the new sports facility. Hearing students of Certificate in Sign Language Class were special guest judges on the Cheerdance Competition.
With lighted candles, MCCID President Remberto Esposa read the dedication prayer which says,
May this place be as lighted candles give off light to all the places around it…
May we continue to be as example to all… To shine as Jesus our God has told us
That His light cannot be hidden… May these candles symbolize God’s presence in this place…
and to all who come and partakers of God’s graces as well..
