Another welcome addition to his numerous awards and accolades, MCCID Deaf Coordinator Ervin Reyes was one of the three deaf persons who received the first CAP College Foundation’s Most Outstanding Alumnus.
The awarding ceremony was held last Saturday, April 25 as part of the school’s 20th Commencement Exercises. Other recipients of the award are successful photographer-entrepreneur Dennis Rhoniel Balan and “Travel and Tours” operator Gilda Quintua. Balan belonged to the first batch (1991) while Reyes formed part of the second batch (1992). Incidentally, Ms. Quintua, a Batch 1999 graduate is also an MCCID alumna before continuing her studies at CAP College.
According to CAP College’s selection committee member and School Registrar May Andrada-Gasataya, the three were selected based on their outstanding performances in their respective fields as well as national and international recognitions.
Mr. Reyes attended the affair together with Sir Jojo Esposa Jr., who is also a former CAP College faculty way back in 1991. Last 2007, Ervin was recognized as one of the Most Outstanding Alumnus during the Centennial Celebration of the Philippine School for the Deaf.
